The most impactful thing I have learned during my time in architecture school so far has been the art of telling a story. This has not only impacted my education, but also my life as a daughter, sister, friend, and person of faith. I have found that, similarly to the way we work as people, community and meaningful connections define architecture and give it purpose. Space holds so much importance in who we become, and who we meet along the way.
Therefore, as an aspiring designer, I am committed to shaping spaces that cultivate holistic growth at many different scales. Additionally, my faith based roots guide me in serving others and in thinking deeply about our impact as designers on our communities that we are so intentionally placed in. These ideals inform me as a student, but also speak into my daily experiences and relationships with others as I grow and learn. |
